Get the final results here from Floyd Mayweather vs Andre Berto plus the complete PPV card.

The alleged final fight of Floyd Mayweather is in the books, and it went pretty much exactly as everyone expected. Andre Berto was never a threat, Floyd Mayweather was never in danger, and the fight was a lopsided, easy unanimous decision kind of affair. This win extends Mayweather to 49-0, and now, the greatest of our time claims he is retired. Time will tell.

ROUND BY ROUND RECAP
Round 1: A very jab-heavy opening round for Mayweather, who didn't move much, but stood in front of Berto and jabbed away. Nice job mixing in some lead left hooks as well. Mayweather's defense was good as always. Berto threw very, very little. This can't be his plan for the fight, or he's doomed. 10-9 Mayweather

Round 2: More aggressive round from Berto, which is good. He threw more punches, chasing Mayweather down at times, but he just couldn't connect, as Mayweather used head movement to avoid him. Still, he at least forced Mayweather to try this round, but it's still not close to enough. 10-9 Mayweather

Round 3: Three rounds in and this is a pretty typical Mayweather fight. Defense keeps working for him, with Berto landing nearly nothing in this round. Mayweather stumbled at one point and touched the mat, but it was correctly rules a slip. 10-9 Mayweather, 30-27 after 3.

Round 4: Lots of clinching from both men in this round as things are starting to get just a bit ugly at times. With that clinch game, there were not a ton of significant shots, but Mayweather did land a nice right hand that seemed to wobbly Berto for a moment. Often, Berto comes back hard after being hurt, but that did not happen here. 10-9 Mayweather

Round 5: Similar round to the list here, with clinching being a heavy weapon. Mayweather again used his defense well, but Berto did land a nice clean combo early in the round. Berto also landed a low blow, and while he was not penalized yet, he was given a warning. 10-9 Mayweather

Round 6: More aggressive start to the 6tg for Mayweather, coming hard against Berto, particularly in his effective body blows. Early in the round. Berto landed his best punch of the night as well, connecting with a solid hook on Mayweather. Still not enough though. 10-9 Mayweather, 60-54 after 6

Round 7: Good end to the round that brings the crowd to their feet. After a pretty typical 2 and a half minutes, the two men started mixing it up more in the closing seconds, with Berto seeming to connect with a good punch, only to see Mayweather come back angrily. Exciting for a few moments there. 10-9 Mayweather

Round 8: Berto builds off the momentum of round 7 and comes out really walking Mayweather down. But Mayweather expertly circles away until Berto slows down, then again implements his game. Berto is getting more loose, which is exactly what he needs, and he does manage to land some shots against the ropes. Mayweather largely took this round off offensively, so 10-9 Berto.

Round 9: Berto is trying hard, you have to give him that. He pushes the pace, coming for Mayweather throughout, but continues to struggle to land. Late in the round, they begin jaw-jacking, and the heated words leads to something resembling a slugfest for a moment, but Mayweather lands more clean shots in that exchange. Tempers beginning to flare up here. 10-9 Mayweather, 89-82 after 9
Round 10: The trash talk continues, forcing referee Kenny Bayless to pause the action and calm them down. There's a sequence here that pretty much sums up the fight, as Berto charges in with a half dozen rapid fire jabs. He lands none of them, but Mayweather sneaks in one perfect jab in the middle. Mayweather treating Berto with disdain at this point. Mayweather 10-9

Round 11: Not much to say at this point. Mayweather evades, he clinches and hits the body, and he lands most of his limited punches cleanly. The clowning begins in earnest in this round, including Mayweather busting out a semi-Ali shuffle. Berto just has nothing for him. 10-9 Mayweather

Round 12: Mayweather decides to push the pace a bit late in the round, landing some heavy uppercuts on Berto in the corner. Those shots stagger Berto, possibly hurting him more than we have seen at any previous point in the fight. That done, Mayweather literally dances through the final seconds. 10-9 Mayweather, giving him the 119-109 win on my card.
